The Joint Planning Exercise (JPEX) is the final exercise of the Joint Campaign Planning course taught at the Air Force’s Air Command and Staff College (ACSC) located at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. 

The JPEX Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) course, specifically designed for distance learning, focuses on teaching how to apply the processes, concepts, and procedures for producing a Joint Operations Plan by allowing students to apply joint doctrine to a fictitious scenario to produce an acceptable Commander’s Estimate.
